    kreepy krauly reviews

The Kreepy Krauly pool cleaner is the #1 pool cleaner in the U.S.! The Kreepy Krauly line of pool cleaners (9 models) is one of the largest pool cleaner families, and the Kreepy Krauly inground suction cleaner is the top selling pool cleaner, of all time!

Today's post is all about the flagship cleaner, the Kreepy Krauly suction cleaner for inground pools. Specifically, I'd like to 'replay' some of the top Kreepy Krauly reviews, from real pool owners, just like you. Read them all on our Kreepy Krauly page.

There's a thousand reasons why people love Kreepy Krauly pool cleaners - here's just a few, in these curated Kreepy Krauly reviews. Enjoy.

    Surprisingly strong suction!

We have a fiberglass pool with a steep slope in the deep end. This Kreepy Krauly is doing fine getting up that slippery slope into the shallow end. It keeps the entire pool's water stirred up all the time, doing its job very thoroughly.

    Kreepy Still the Best

My last Kreepy lasted 21 years before I looked for a replacement. I tried 3 different "Robot" cleaners and they all had problems cleaning the corners and walls of the pool. I finally gave up and have returned to my tried and true pool cleaner, Kreepy Krauly. The new model is very similar to the old one but looks even more durable. It works just as well too! :) I really like the new inline regulator. The old one had quite a complex external mechanism that was subject to wear and tear (especially in the last few years). It still takes a bit on tweaking to get it to do the whole pool but once you get it set up it does a much better job than any of the Robots I tried.

    Great Pool Cleaner

I purchased this pool cleaner to replace a twenty-year-old Kreepy Krauly because I thought my old one was wearing out. This new model works so much better than the old one ever had that I cannot believe the improvement. It truly does a great job of cleaning the pool without any extra plumbing, working from the skimmer. Another advantage is that all of the hose and major parts seem compatible with my old one. Twenty years of experience has truly sold me on the Pentair Kreepy Krauly!

    BEST SUCTION Cleaner

Kreepy-Krawly is probably the best suction side pool cleaner around. This is the 4th one I have owned and the best one. I have had 2 Barracudas and 1 Kreepy-Kruiser. SPP did a great job at processing my order and I had it 3 days after I ordered it, great service, thanks. J.S Phoenix AZ..............

    Great Buy!

This was a replacement for an "old" Kreepy Krauly. We have used Kreepys for about 28 years and would do nothing different. This one is living up to its heritage. Your price cannot be beat at least $150-$200 more at pool stores around here.

    Good cleaner for the money

Owned another brand of cleaner for six years and it finally quit this year. We researched a few and decided to try this one. It has worked well for going up on the walls where our other one stayed on the floor. This one does tend to get stuck behind the ladder, but I understand there's a device to fix that. Overall we are happy with the Kreepy, it is a good investment.

    Long Term KK User

I have been using KK for over 15 years and I am on the 3rd Unit. The beauty of KK is that it has one moving part and hardly anything wears out excepting the foot and seal. Great product. It feels good when my friends, who have polaris, have spent more on repairs than I have on 3 KK units!

    Kreepy Krauly inground cleaner

This cleaner was purchased to replace a Polaris cleaner 11 years ago for my 41 year old Rudd-Murray design concrete painted pool. My pool is 62000 gallons, so it's big. I am running a 2.5 hp Hayward pump on 600 lb. sand filter. This Kreepy far exceeded my expectations and 11 years in service it is STILL running! I have replaced the seal and the hose and nothing else on it. I have been extremely happy with the simplicity of design and the performance. It has NO problem climbing the walls to the surface and with sufficient hose it covers the entire pool easily. The only times I've had the flapper/agitator that makes it go jamb is when a twig gets stuck in there and stops motion, but other than that, this thing is absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend this product! Extremely happy with the lifespan, the design, and the flawless hours of performance from simple and clever cleaner. I NEVER HAVE TO HAND CLEAN the subsurface of my pool because the Kreepy get's it all.

For $100 off, I was willing to try Kreepy. It was reasonably easy to put together (the bumper was tough to install and takes a lot of force to seat correctly, something I was afraid to do the first time around). It started working the minute I attached it to the suction side. But it takes some adjustment to get the weights in the right place to it doesn't stop working. It does hang up from time to time on the pool steps. Overall, however, this is an excellent product for the price, true value in this overpriced arena.

    Best one yet

We have had a Kreepy since our pool was built, 30 years ago. We absolutely love them! I believe we have had three of them, and have never thought of any other cleaner. They are easy to work, and we have very little cleaning at all.

    Kreepy Krauly

Didn't start to stick on bottom drain until we replastered and updated the drain. (Maybe I'll stick something on the drain so it can't make a seal.) Otherwise this is a great invention--have used this unit for 8 years. Replacement parts are easy to get. Also, keeps ducks out of the pool:-)

Best money ever spent on our pool

We reluctantly purchased the Keepy Krauly inground pool cleaner about 6-7 years ago, for our in-ground 20X40 pool. I was hesitant because I didn't think a pool cleaner would clean as well as I wanted. It is the best purchase we have ever made for our pool. If I had known how much work it would save and how great a job it would really do, we would have purchased one as soon as they hit the market. The only time Kreepy stops working is if the pump pressure is up around 20 psi. After backwashing, the Kreepy Krauly goes right back to work.

    Nothing comes close

Have it for over 20 years. Can't imagine having a pool without it. Have seen others work, nothing comes close. Depending on the shape of the pool, may have to sweep a corner every now and then, other than that, it is perfect.

The Kreepy Krauly cleaner reviews above were of course hand-picked, and to be fair, there are also negative reviews, dealing with 2 problems, Kreepy getting stuck, or Kreepy moving slowly. Read All Kreepy Reviews.

STUCK: Kreepy can stall around 'wedding cake' style steps, and it can get stuck behind ladders, or stair rails, although the Kreepy or Polaris ladder guards can be used to prevent it. Kreepy can sometimes get stuck on main drains, usually not but if it does, Polaris makes a drain cover that lays on top of your existing drain, to fix the problem. Adjustments to the hose weight placement, wall climb adjuster and the water flow from wall returns can be made to change cleaning patterns, if needed.

SLOW: A slow moving Kreepy also has poor vacuuming suction and that either means that the pump is too small (1 hp+ is best), the filter or pump basket is dirty, or other suction valves (other skimmer, main drain) need to be closed, to give Kreepy more suction power.

Kreepy Krauly cleaners seem to work great for most pool owners however. They love the low Kreepy cost, and low Kreepy repair bills, with easy to find Kreepy parts. Unlike pressure or robot cleaners, which rack up large repair bills, Kreepy has only one moving part, and only two parts in contact with pool surfaces. Less things to go wrong.

kreepy krauly reviewsKreepy Krauly pool cleaners are extremely simple to install, operate and troubleshoot, and are durable too. If you are tired of the high cost of pressure and robotic cleaners, you might be amazed at how cost-effective a Kreepy Krauly can be in your pool!
