Spa Calcium Hardness Increaser Prevents Corrosion Throughout Your Spa
    • Having the correct calcium hardness in your spa is important to keeping your spa water balanced
    • Raising your spa’s total hardness prevents your spa water from drawing minerals like copper, aluminum and iron from other sources
    • Low calcium hardness could lead to corrosion in and quick deterioration of spa equipment such as your heating element, pump seals and other internal parts
    • Calcium readings in your spa should be between 100 – 250 ppm for acrylic finishes; 250 – 450 ppm for a plaster finish
    • When the calcium level drops below 200 ppm, you should add calcium increaser
    • Dosage: 1 oz. per 500 gallons

Protect your spa’s plumbing, equipment and shell by making sure your spa chemistry and calcium hardness is at the correct levels. If your calcium hardness drops too low, adding spa calcium hardness increaser will prevent your spa water from drawing essential minerals like copper, aluminum and iron from sources such as your spa heater, plumbing seals, pumps and other equipment. Drawing minerals from your equipment can lead to corrosion and premature failure, and this calcium hardness increaser helps protect against that.
